Is Thumbtack Math Tutoring A Good Option?

Is Thumbtack Math Tutoring A Good Option?Thumbtack math tutoring is based on the premise that by allowing children to work with friends and family, they will learn a great deal. For any program of this nature to be successful, parents and teachers must be willing to be involved in the process. Having two adults working with a child while working on projects will allow for the learning to happen. It is also important that the parent stay involved in teaching as well, rather than simply watching and letting the child do all the learning.Thumbtack offers a lot of homework help. Many of the programs are designed around different problems that have been covered in class. Many of the tutors are committed to improving their tutoring abilities. The question that often arises is 'Do the tutors have to be household names?'There is no 'must' about becoming a household name, although I have heard it said that you may not be able to teach as well if you are. It seems like there is a standard of e xcellence in education and this means that the most experienced teacher may actually be more effective than someone with only a passing knowledge of the subject. It is also important to have an interactive approach. That is why so many of the Fingerprints and Hitt program are geared towards family interaction. With such a large group of kids being involved, it is easier to get them to work together and to study well.Every child at some point will need tutoring, but this is especially true for school children. With a large number of children enrolled in schools, there is not enough time in the day to do everything. Some students need additional help because they have had trouble with one or more parts of the curriculum. This can be especially the case when the students are given general education. When students go through these areas of the course, they have the chance to understand more and learn more. More specifically, they have the chance to understand the course material better a nd they can also apply what they have learned. It is a very valuable experience for the student. At the same time, there are many issues with thumbtack math tutoring. If you are trying to get the attention of your child, you may be better off having a friend come over and give your child the tutoring. By doing this, you have a third party who knows the subject as well as your child and the interaction will give your child's friend a chance to bond. When the student has to go to school the next day, you will want to make sure that the child has a way to pick up the lesson and that there is no disruption with other students in the class. Even if there is, it is important to continue the interaction. Students can make friends in a short period of time and it is very common for them to end up staying close with each other after school is over.Thumbtack math tutoring is wonderful, but I have found that there are some pitfalls. For example, some children do not like when tutors get too pers onal. It is important that you keep this in mind when it comes to choosing a thumbtack math tutor and when it comes to evaluating the tutoring program.

Math Tutoring: How Kathleen Kuhn Math Tutoring Helped Me Get The Right Knowledge And Skills For My Children

Math Tutoring: How Kathleen Kuhn Math Tutoring Helped Me Get The Right Knowledge And Skills For My ChildrenWhen I was in high school, Kathleen Kuhn Math Tutoring was one of the few math tutoring programs I did. The program was run by a math teacher, and that's where I got my first taste of how math tutoring works. What a wonderful thing to do for the sake of your children, as a parent or an educator. As a little girl I found a book on the library's shelves called 'Math With Curious Minds' by Kathleen Kuhn. I thought it would be fun to read it, but I never finished it, because I needed to do more math. I am glad I spent my time learning through tutoring with her, because it led me to many more reading and math subjects.During the summers before my freshman year in college, my friends and I would go to a local community college for math tutoring. Each of us paid our own way to be tutored by Kathleen, but there were also plenty of other people who paid and went there for help with their classwork. I loved getting some new ideas about math, and it made learning more interesting, too.Kathleen taught both young and old, and there were times when she sat us down and gave us homework assignments. It was so fun to get some help from someone who could give us a professional opinion, as well as homework and class assignments. Every day she gave us a quiz, and we all had a chance to make suggestions.Kathleen made us study at home, and at first I didn't even understand what I was supposed to do. But after a while I realized that I wasn't supposed to do anything, and I started to enjoy the process. She helped us do the necessary work, and then gave us some tips on studying and making progress toward our grades. If you want to try math tutoring with Kathleen, you need to find her. She will only tutor if you are willing to pay for it. However, I highly recommend you at least give it a try. You'll be glad you did. There are other ways to learn math, but math tutoring is one of th e best ways to learn how to do math. In addition to her kind and caring tutoring, you'll also get extra tutoring in math from experts. They will help you with your homework, classwork, and general math work. You'll be ready for whatever comes your way when you are doing math with Kathleen.

Cruise Ship Musician Jobs How I Got The Gig What To Expect Sign up successful The call started with friendly introductions, a short interview, and a brief description of  what we would actually do during the “audition” part of the call. He said, “Go ahead,” and I was  off and running. I played through all the tunes and felt good about them, because of the way I  prepared myself. After a short pause, he told me that they could offer me the job right then, on  the spot. This got me on their roster. They didn’t have a contract for me right away, but they  assured me that they would be calling soon with an offer. And that they did. Within a week I had  been offered three different contracts! There was a lot to consider and a lot of information to take  in! I told them that I needed to talk the details over with my wife, and they understood and gave me a day to get back to them. After weighing all my options, I decided to decline their generous offers. It turned out to just not be the right fit for my life at that time. However, the experience of the audi tion was a lot of fun and learning about cruise ship musician jobs was very interesting! Tutorials can take place in the presence of the tutor at your house, at the tutor’s house, or in a public place such as a library. To save money and time, students can opt for online tutorials where they can learn from their own home. There are more tutors available, you can use the internet for exercises, you can schedule tutorials at any time of day, there are tonnes of advantages. But what do you need in terms of equipment? What tools do you need to do an online class? In this article, we're going to look at the equipment you'll need for HD video conferencing, the best video conferencing software, video conferencing equipment, and how online video communication can be used for online private tutorials. The only problem is that they live 200 miles away. You could always try to find another private tutor but you don’t want to waste more time. Fortunately for you, you can always get online tutorials remotely. To do this, though, youâ €™ll need the right equipment and a working computer. A computer, tablet, or smartphone is essential for online private tutorials. (Source: Free-Photos)You could use either a desktop or a laptop as long as it works fine. Just avoid using an old computer that takes half an hour to start up.  Some recommend using a PC over a Mac because there are more video conferencing programmes available for Windows. However, you can always talk with your tutor about video conferencing software and you shouldn’t have to change your computer just to get online tutorials. You can even get academic support tutorials, maths classes, or foreign language classes using your tablet. In any case, don’t turn your computer or laptop on just before your lesson. Consider getting ready quarter of an hour before your lesson so you can check that everything’s working fine. Also, make sure you regularly update your computer or tablet so that the updates don’t start installing in the middle of your class.  You won't get the most out of video conferencing systems i f you can't even make a video conference call because of your computer's updating.Online tutorials: The Internet ConnectionA good internet connection is essential if you want online tutorials as video calls use a decent amount of bandwidth and if your internet connection isn’t quick enough, it’ll cut out, freeze, and make the whole experience unbearable. You’ll spend more time fixing technical issues than learning. If you’re not getting the most out of your online private tutorials, you run the risk of getting sick of it and giving them up altogether.Fibre optic internet is still the best option if you want a good connection and HD video. However, ADSL is good enough for online tutorials if the connection is stable. In some cases, you'll need video conferencing services that are capable of HD video so that you and your tutor can see clearly. To check if your internet connection is fast enough, you can use Speedtest. You can test your internet connection’s speed both in term s of upload, download, and ping.Skype requires a minimum of 1.5Mbits/s for a high-quality video call. If the connection isn’t quick enough over your wifi connection, consider connecting your computer directly to the router via an ethernet cable. This can greatly increase the speed of your connection. If your internet connection leaves a lot to be desired, you might want to consider changing providers. You can always go to a library and see if they have individual study rooms you can use so that you don’t bother anyone else there.Tools for Online Tutorials: MicrophonesWhether they’re catchup classes, maths tutorials, or a Spanish class, being able to talk to your tutor is important. When the tutor asks you questions, you really should be able to answer without having to type. If your wifi isn't fast enough, consider connecting your computer to the router using an ethernet cable. (Source: Fotocitizen)Similarly, each student needs to be able to ask questions in the same way they would if the tutor were there in the room with them. The microphone is essential for communicating and sharing information with your tutor as you would do in any other class. If your computer has a built-in microphone, you might be fine, but make sure you test it first. If it doesn’t work, you can always replace it with an external microphone. You can get replacement mics for under £20 or even get a headset that allows you to both speak to your tutor and hear them using the same device. You can get these for under £20, too.Choose the solution that works best for you and your tutor.Learn more about what to expect in online tutorials. This helps make communication between the tutor and the student more natural as if they were there in the room with you. Furthermore, you may need to show your tutor your work, for example. While most laptops now come with a webcam built-in, you might want to invest in a better one. (Source: Aksa2011)It also helps to be able to explain something visually. In this case, you must have your webcam turned on.Most computers now come with a built-in webcam. If this isn’t the case or your webcam’s quality isn’t great, you can get cheap and decent webcams. Similarly, if you have a digital camera, you may be able to plug it into your computer and use it as a webcam.Don’t forget to check that the camera and microphone are set up and correctly configured before you start. There may be certain settings that you need to change before you can start your tutorials.Find out more about the cost of online tutorials.Video Conferencing Software for Online Private TutorialsYour webcam and microphone won’t be much use if you don’t have the software to communicate with your tutor. You’ll need to download some video conferencing software so that you can get in touch with each oth er. Some platforms, such as Classgap, have their own video conferencing platform. If this isn’t the case, you can always use Skype or Anymeeting, for example. In addition to Skype and Anymeeting, there's also Zoom Video Communications, Cisco WebEx, GoToMeeting, HighFive, HipChat, Workplace by Facebook, Zoho Cliq, HipChat, Lifesize, GoToWebinar, Pigeonhole Live, and Roundee. While the jury's out on the best videoconferencing software, it'll probably be down to the tutor's preference. While a lot of these platforms are used for online meetings, audio conferencing, conference calls, and webinars, there are teleconferencing and web conferencing platforms you have to pay for and others that are free. Ideally, you want your tutor to suggest a platform that you don't have to pay for, but in some cases, the functionality will be worth it.You can also use chat clients to type messages to each other and share files. Your tutor can even share their screen with you to correct exercises, etc. So me of these platforms are essentially virtual meeting rooms and since the tutor saves on travel costs, you'll pay less for your tutorials.Screen sharing allows you to see exactly what the other person sees on their screen. This is useful for correcting documents and most video conferencing solutions include screen sharing, audio and video calls, and plenty of collaboration tools so that you can work together.Online Music TutorialsIf you’re doing music tutorials or learning how to play an instrument, you’ll need additional materials. Firstly, you’ll need to discuss this with your tutor. In a music tutorial, you’ll need to be able to replicate the techniques your tutor shows you. A basic microphone will be fine for most types of tutorials but music tutorials may require better (and more expensive) audio equipment. (Source: Didgeman)Your tutor will also need to be able to see and hear whether or not you’re performing these techniques correctly. Thus, you’ll need to focus your camera and microphone on your instrument.Of course, you’ll also need to be able to ask questions. Buying a second microphone may be a good idea. Thus, you can have one picking up the sound from your instrument and another to be able to talk to your tutor. You’ll probably want a headset and a regular microphone.Advice for Online Private TutorialsChoose a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted during your private tutorials. If you’re at home, remind your family to not disturb you while you’re in your lesson.Turn off notifications on your phone, close all the windows on your web browser, and ensure that there are no distractions from your social media. You must concentrate and pay as much attention to your remote private tutor as you would any other tutor. Now you just have to go out and get the right equipment. Of course, as useful as web conferencing is for learning, it can quickly derail a lesson if your video conferencing system fails you.Certain subjects, like art, for example, might benefit a lot from HD video conferencing since your tutor will need to see what you've done. Of course, you can always take HD photos of your work and share your screen in one click. However, in most cases, you won't need Skype for business or exceptional video quality. There are different services you need to consider and a lot of the professional-grade ones come with a free trial.

Total Revenue Formula

Total Revenue Formula Total revenue is the total amount earned by a certain source for selling a product at a certain price. The formula to calculate the total revenue gained by a source is, total revenue is equal to the product of the quantity of the goods and the price at which the goods are sold. The total revenue formula is very helpful when required to calculate the amount gained by a particular source such as an organization, a store etc. when a certain number of goods are sold. Example 1: A book store sells 55 books at a cost of $20 each book. How much is the total revenue earned by the bookstore for selling those books? Total revenue, TR = (Quantity of the goods) * (Selling price of the goods) In the above example, the goods are the books. Quantity of books sold = 55. Cost of each book = $20. Therefore, applying the above formula we get: Total revenue, TR = 55 * $20 = $1100. Hence the total revenue earned by the bookstore = $1100. Example 2: If a candy store sold 30 chocolate candies of $1.00 each and 20 strawberry candies, $0.50 each, then how much is the total revenue earned by the store? Total revenue, TR = (Quantity of the goods) * (Selling price of the goods) Quantity of chocolate candies sold= 30 Cost of each chocolate candy= $1.00 Revenue earned= 30* $1 = $30.00 Quantity of strawberry candies sold= 20 Cost of each strawberry candy= $0.50. Revenue earned= 20* $0.50= $10.00 Hence total revenue earned, TR= $30.00+ $10.00= $40.00

What to Do After Youve Submitted Your College Applications

What to Do After You’ve Submitted Your College Applications The following guest post was written by Raj Patil, one of the co-founders at Admissionado, a premier college admissions consulting company focused on helping students get into their dream schools. College applications are the culmination of a few-month process. In fact, the commitment and sacrifice began on Day 1 of high school (and honestly, long before even that). The hard part is over and done with. If theres an appropriate time to sweat and stress out about getting something absolutely perfect, that time has passed! And yet, the school year hasnt ended. There are deferments, waitlists, rejections, and acceptances to deal with. So, now that the college application part has concluded, what now? January - mid-March: The grey zone The months of January and February and part of March typically sit between the submission of the college apps and the decisions associated with them. Is there a correct thing to focus on during this period? Yes: Stop focusing on stuff. Well, almostdont let your grades slide. If you were to belly flop, it may send the wrong signal to schools that say yes on the premise that youre precisely the kind of kid who wont let things slide. So, keep your hands on the wheel, but dont stress too much. Sure, attend that social event you may have chosen not to attend a few weeks ago. Jam a little longer with your bandmates. That kind of thing. In other words, enjoy being a senior in high school. Something profound is going to change when you go to college. For most folks, this is the real inflection point from adolescence to adulthood, dependence to independence. Theres also something to be said about burnout: now is not the time. Mid-March: Stay calm Funs over. Youre going to sweat, and you have every reason to. But given the circumstances, this is actually a great version of stress. It means that youre invested in the outcome. How could you not be? This anticipation of whether that envelope (or email) says a certain thingis actually one of the joys of life, and theres simply no substitute for it. Is it always fun? Nope. It can be positively gutting. But the point is, dont worry if youre freaking out with anticipation. Its more than called for. [RELATED: 6 Surprising Things About Senior Year of High School] Mid-March - early April = And the verdict is And then, just like that, the decisions come out. Usually in waves: letters, emails, whatever new way they decide to use, etc. And its going to be either 1.) great news, or 2.) not-so-great news. Waitlists arent inning-ending, but they are not always bankable either. If you have even one admit, take pride! You at least have the choice of attending a college in the fall. Now, you may be waitlisted at a higher-ranked school and do everything in your power to get off that waitlist, or you may have your heart set on a different program and make it your mission to work extra hard during freshman year at another college in hopes of transferring a year laterbut no matter how you look at it, you have a choice. Congrats. [RELATED: 5 Ways to Make Your College Decision Easier] If you have more than one admit, congrats as well! Now, you can choose between programs. Here, the algorithm is simple: Separate your admits into echelons and begin to evaluate. If in your highest echelon, you have more than one choice, you can now really get specific. You can look at factors like location, extracurricular opportunities, student to faculty ratio, etc. But what happens if you get flat-out rejected from every school youve applied to? What if have zero choices at the end of the day? Its natural and okay to feel bad and have regrets. Those emotions are normal, but its not the end of the road. There are tons of other gears you can tap into, depending on your resources and your particular ambitions. Gap years are not uncommon, for instance; pursue some great volunteer opportunities, take some online classes, enroll in more classes at a local community collegewhatever it is, choose opportunities wisely to position yourself well for whatever your next move will be. Want to apply again in a year? Figure out exactly what you need to do to augment your portfolio in order to make that happen.
